Core Competencies

Tompkins' core competencies are commercial, government, hospitality, and residential projects. Our commercial projects include both urban and suburban office and retail buildings, university and school buildings, and hospital and medical buildings. Major office projects include the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, the International Monetary Fund, and more recently, 900 Seventh Street. Other commercial projects are Building #215, Portsmouth Naval Hospital and Gallery Place, a mixed use entertainment and retail mall with both residential and office building components. Tompkins has a long history of constructing federal government projects dating back to 1922, from the Reflection Pool to the recently completed National World War II Memorial. Our hospitality projects include Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott, Monaco, and Sofitel hotels. Tompkins is also the minority partner in the $350 million Gaylord Hotel Resort and Convention Center project.
