Tompkins Builders Celebrates Grand Opening of
700th Marriott Courtyard with Bill Marriott
Washington, D.C., August 2, 2006
On July 19th, Tompkins Builders participated in the grand
opening of the 700th Marriott Courtyard. Attendees at the event
included Bill Marriott, CEO of Marriott International Inc., and
George Kreis, Senior Vice President at Tompkins Builders.
Completed by Tompkins in February, the new 150,000-SF, 14-story
hotel has 200 guest rooms, plus hotel amenities. This project also
included new construction of the Capitol Hill Towers, a 334-unit
apartment building adjacent to the Marriott Courtyard.
Kreis said, “We are proud to have been a part of the historic
700th Marriott Courtyard. This project is a testament to Tompkins
Builders’ long-standing relationship with Marriott International.”
